The Latest on CLAY
Two months have passed since my very first blog entry, and a lot of things have already happened within CLAY and CLAY Software Development. Since the start of our fiscal year, our various committees have been quite busy organizing their pet projects, and some have already delivered noteworthy milestones in such a brief period of time.
For those who have been out of the loop, allow me to highlight our accomplishments for the past two and a half months, as well as provide you with a look of things to come. Throughout this blog entry, I have also included simple ways on how you could be more involved in our current activities.

For those of you who are not aware… I am part of Computer Literacy Advocates for the Youth or simply CLAY.
Four Years and Going Strong
They say, if you want to be a creative person, you need to surround yourself with creative individuals... If you wish to be business savvy, you should begin mingling with people who know the ins and outs of your desired industry... Personally speaking, I have always admired individuals who are able to share their time, talent and treasure for the development of the youth. For this reason, I decided to surround myself with the most generous set of friends I know.
CLAY transitions to a new Executive Board
With the fiscal year nearing its end this April, CLAY has recently transitioned to welcome a new set of members for its Executive Board. Last April 19 to 20, the new set of board members from CLAY and CLAY Software Development participated in a teambuilding and planning activity that aimed to evaluate the current status of the organization, and set goals for the year.
CLAY Christmas Palaro 2007
Go team Yellow!
CLAY Launches 1st Modularized YES
Youth E-ducation Series (YES), CLAY’s major and longest-running computer literacy advocacy, has been modularized to focus on particular computer skills and competencies. Just this August, YES-Word was taught to 36 youth aged 13 – 15 from Barangay Singalong in Malate. This is the first run of a modularized YES from the 4-day YES sessions that covered several topics in: Basic Computer Concepts, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.
CLAY in FTK 2007
The new year brings with it opportunities for CLAY to once again live up to their conviction of being service to other people. And with this year's For the Kids (FTK), CLAY volunteers were given the chance to be ate and kuya to differently-abled children as they spend a time of fun and laughter with these kids. Keeping up with the energies of the young children proved to be quite a challenge, yet all this was worth it. They were able to impart happiness to these kids, who were in turn showered with much love from the kids who appreciated what they did.
